Delete your The Binder account

This is how to delete your account in The Binder, the app by The Binder Ltd., and what happens to your data.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open The Binder and sign in.
2. Go to Settings, then Data & privacy, then Danger zone.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately. If you want a copy first, export it from Settings, Data & privacy, Your data.

Without the app

Email support@thebinder.xyz from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it is you and delete the account, normally within 7 days.

What is deleted

Your sign-in record and everything tied to it: your profile, username, avatar and banner, collection, binders, watchlist, price alerts, settings, transaction log, portfolio value history, posts, replies, likes, follows, direct messages and the pictures in them, and your usage counters.

What is kept, and for how long

• Copies in encrypted backups, until they are overwritten on their rolling schedule.
• Server logs (IP address, browser, time), normally no more than 90 days.
• Moderation records about reports of abuse, which may be kept so repeat abuse can be recognised.
• Anything the law requires us to keep, such as purchase records.

Scan photos and Byte conversations are never stored, so there is nothing of them to delete. Collections kept in guest mode, without an account, live only on your device: uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
